Robot Tidepools

Ofu Island in American Samoa is becoming an important natural laboratory for the study of climate change. Dr. Steve Palumbi's work in the lagoon has already led to an increased understanding of how corals may be able to survive ocean warming around the world. Sometimes direct repeatable experimentation is required to test a theory, and that is difficult to do in an uncontrollable ocean. That is why developing and working with Robot Tidepools is so important.
