Karen is responsible for communications at the Center for Ocean Solutions. She helps this young organization build its communications programs and brand as a nonpartisan organization that crafts interdisciplinary programs and tools to solve the major challenges facing the oceans. She brings expertise in existing and emerging technology and techniques to bear on issues such as message development, program planning and execution, and communications assessments. In the past, she has brought her expertise to technology such as software and development tools, to high-end real estate marketing programs and to non-profit education. She loves skiing and hiking, and spending time with her son and daughter. Fluent in French, she also loves a good French film after (you guessed it!) a lovely French meal. She holds a B.A. in economics and a B.A. in French literature and language.
