Jim Barry serves as a member of the Fellowship & Curriculum Committee at the Center for Ocean Solutions.  He is a benthic ecologist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) studying several aspects of the biology and ecology of marine organisms and communities.

Robert Dunbar is a member of the Center for Ocean Solutions Management Committee.  He is the William M. Keck Professor of Earth Sciences at Stanford University, and the Victoria P. and Roger W. Sant Director of the Earth Systems Program, the largest undergraduate and co-terminal masters program in the School of Earth Sciences.

George N. Somero was part of the team that developed the original proposal to create the Center for Ocean Solutions (COS). Somero is a David & Lucile Packard Professor in Marine Sciences at Stanford University, and Associate Director of Hopkins Marine Station. His group studies the effects of environmental factors on marine animals.
